Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) launches the call for its sixth edition due 2017 from the bureau of the Egyptian Culture Ministry

The administration of Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) has officially launched the call of receiving films for its sixth edition, taking place March 16-22, 2017 from the bureau of the Egyptian Culture Ministry, the main sponsor of the festival. From August 15, 2016 until December 15, 2016, LAFF should receive films from African countries by African filmmakers except for al-Husseiny Abou-Deif Freedom & Human Rights Competition; films are welcomed from all over the world.

Sayed Fouad, LAFF president, has revealed that Morocco is the country guest of honor at the sixth edition. Azza al-Husseiny, LAFF executive director added that the sixth edition will give tribute to Mauritanian director Abderrahmane Sissako, Egyptian director Youssry Nasrallah and Egyptian star Nelly Karim.

LAFF is organized by Independent Shabab Foundation with the support of the Egyptian ministries of Culture, Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Youth; The National Bank of Egypt; The Luxor Governorate and the Egyptian Film Syndicate.
